Electrical Installation Lecturer A
Wigan and Leigh College are looking to appoint highly motivated and creative Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver on both full time and part time programmes. We currently offer both C&G and EAL qualifications within the department ranging from level 1 to level 3. For part time apprentices we deliver the NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems as part of the Electrical Installation apprenticeship framework, delivered jointly with the colleges Business Services department (assessing apprentices in the workplace). The College is an exciting place to work as the provision expands and the delivery of Electrical Installation is key to this development as we move to apprenticeship standards.
Wigan & Leigh College’s philosophy is outstanding teaching and high achievement to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work. Our staff play a key role in this aim, working with employers and apprentices in the workplace and delivering high-quality teaching in the classroom.
If you are interested in moving into Lecturing from industry or a newly qualified teacher with a passion to pass on your expertise we will offer you the help and support you need to develop the skills and experience to be an inspirational and effective teacher.
The college has a successful AM2 centre that services the apprentice provision and borough needs. If you are JIB approved and would like to discuss a AM2 assessors role with the college, please do get in touch.
The College reserves the right to interview for this post should we receive suitable candidates prior to the closing date.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.
