Post Title:Engineering Lecturer

Details:Wigan & Leigh College are looking to recruit to its successful Engineering Department to a range of Lecturing posts with salaries up to £33,753. The College also offers career progression opportunities.

The Engineering Department at Wigan & Leigh College has continued to grow and is based at our Pagefield site, which enjoys state of the art equipment and resources.

We are looking for innovative and creative engineering graduates with excellent industry experience and knowledge. Our Engineering Division delivers both full and part-time courses and professional updates to meet employer needs.

We are looking for professional Lecturers with one or more specialisms in the following areas:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering

We are looking for Lecturers to deliver training and education at a range of levels from Level 2 to Level 4/5 HNC and HND. We are also interested in Lecturers who can teach higher level Science, Maths, Thermodynamics, CAD and Mechanical Principles.

Wigan & Leigh College are looking to appoint a highly motivated and creative sales person to their expanding Business Services department.

The College is an exciting place to work. We are focused and determined to develop an outstanding College serving the students, communities and businesses of Wigan, Leigh and the surrounding area. Under new leadership, we are in the process of implementing a transformation strategy which is developing and embedding a culture of high standards and aspirations. As our provision expands you will be promoting ever changing products and meeting sales targets.

This exciting position will allow you to draw on your experience of sales to provide local markets with information on current courses and activity.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Identifying employer training and development needs • Communicating Sales pitches to target audiences
• Liaising with Business Services and Marketing to arrange visits to clients
• Working with Business Services and Marketing on current campaigns
• Being client oriented – polite, responsive and persistent remembering that you are representing Wigan & Leigh College at all times.
• Have the ability to research and target different client groups
• To manage and populate a new Wigan & Leigh College CRM
• To work as part of the Business Services team
• Have the ability to build and develop relationships with Employers

The ideal candidate will have a current background in Sales, and a qualification in Sales and or experience in Marketing.

Our IT/Computing provision enjoys a range of state of the art equipment and resources at our Parson's Walk site. Our courses are delivered across 16-18, 19 + and HE levels as well as the growing area of apprenticeships and full cost recovery provision.

The team are looking for a motivated and committed leader to support the Divisional Manager to achieve the aims of the provision in continuing to achieve excellent success rates and develop innovative curriculum offer to continue to meet employer need whilst increasing student numbers.

Applicants for this exciting role will be graduates and should be able to demonstrate excellent outcomes for learners, inspirational teaching & learning, relevant CPD, a high level of up to date professional knowledge and ability to motivate/coach/mentor others.

Post Title:Business Administration & Customer Care Assessor

Details:Wigan & Leigh College are looking to appoint a highly motivated and creative individual to the role of Assessor in Business Adminsitration & Customer Care.

The assessor will be required to carry out Workplace reviews and set action plans for learners including Smart Targets, carry out health and safety audits with the companies allocated to their caseload, Complete new start paperwork for learners commencing onto an apprenticeship in Business Administration & Customer Care and assess candidates in order to help them achieve their competency qualification within the Apprenticeship Framework.
