Salary:Actual salary up to £33,753
Details:You will teach and assess across a range of health and social care programmes.

You must possess a health or social care degree or equivalent, a recognised teaching qualification or attain within 2 years of first available course and an assessor award. It is essential for you to be able to teach units within care programmes, from Level 1 to Level 5. You must also have current knowledge and the ability to support the delivery and assessment of the level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care and assessment in practice.

The College is embarking on an exciting and ambitious partnership opportunity with the Borough Council to create an innovative learning facility that will help generate development, placement and employment opportunities throughout the Borough.

We are looking for an experienced Manager with a practical knowledge of sector needs along with a teaching and assessment background to be responsible for the set-up, creation, development and management of the College Warehouse learning facility.

You will act as the College Link Officer with the Depot Management Team and work in collaboration with the Council and other partners to assess the feasibility and development of introducing bespoke courses and apprenticeship programmes operating from the Depot Learning Facility.

Besides undertaking a designated programme of teaching and assessments you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality learning experience for students in line with quality standards and performance criteria.

Wigan & Leigh College are looking to recruit an Audit and Compliance Officer to be responsible for all administrative services relating to audit requirements for apprentices and other learners who are subcontracted to partners and to provide general administrative and clerical support where directed within the Business Services Unit.

Skills required:
The candidate will need to be qualified at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration and must possess grade C or above in Maths and English.

Having good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential for this role.
