The Engineering Department at Wigan & Leigh College has continued to grow and is based at our Pagefield site, which enjoys state of the art equipment and resources.

We are looking for innovative and creative engineering graduates with excellent industry experience and knowledge. Our Engineering Division delivers both full and part-time courses and professional updates to meet employer needs.

We are looking for professional Lecturers with one or more specialisms in the following areas:

• Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Electrical Installation
• Power Electronics
• PLCs
• Energy Management
• Electrical and Mechanical Maths
• Electrical Principles
• Mechanical Engineering

We are looking for Lecturers to deliver training and education at a range of levels from Level 2 to Level 4/5 HNC and HND.

Post Title:Health & Social Care - Assessor (Fixed term contract – 1 year)

Salary:Annual salary up to £25,884
Details:We are looking for an outstanding, inspirational and enthusiastic Assessor with a relevant Assessing qualification to join the Health and Social Care Division. The ideal candidate will be widely experienced and possess a relevant qualification at level 3 and if required be able to undertake an internal verification role, travelling to meet employers and candidates across the region and beyond.

This challenging role will suit an exceptional assessor who is expected to promote, support and deliver the whole work-place learning process from promotion and recruitment through to achievement.

The duties include, but are not limited to:
• Promotion of the College and its courses
• Initial Advice and Guidance to employers and prospective candidates
• Completion of start-up paperwork, H&S system checks and undertaking initial assessment
• Formative and summative assessment with a weighted caseload of candidates
• Liaising with, and ensuring an excellent level of communication with, both candidate and employer
• Working autonomously, with initiative and maintain good communication and reporting with your line manager
• Maintaining documentation, and keeping accurate and up-to-date records
• Meeting all deadlines and keeping to agreed timescales.

This is a fixed term contract for 1 year but with a view to a permanent post depending on successful outcomes on performance.

Applications are sought for the position of Finance Clerk within the Finance Team. The successful applicant will work with the team to support the College’s overall Finance Objectives, specifically dealing with invoice processing, invoice queries and undertaking general office duties.

Skills required:
Applicants should have literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to level 2/3, experience of volume data processing and an ability to effectively deal with students, employers and suppliers over the phone.

Details:Wigan & Leigh College are looking to appoint an Support Assistant (0.5FTE) to work within the Estates Department.

About this role:
An enthusiastic and experienced administrator is required is assist in the efficient and effective operations of the Estates Department.

You will work under the direct supervision of the Estates Support Co-coordinator to ensure the department provides and delivers a proactive and excellent customer care service to all internal and external stakeholders.

You will also provide effective day to day administrative support to the Estates Department and assist with the preparation of management information and estates records.

Skills required:
Demonstrable ICT skills with competency in Microsoft Word and other software packages such as Excel and internal college ICT systems.

Excellent communication, administrative and customer care skills and be a proactive team player.
