Post Title:Maths & English Lecturers

Hours:Full and part time hours available
Salary:Salary up to £33,753 and additional incentives available for excellent candidates
Details:Do you want to be part of a rapidly improving team which is vital to the development of our learners and integral to our drive toward outstanding?

We are seeking outstanding practitioners who will leadand manage achievement and support the Director of maths and English in the progress of all our students.

The maths and English team work from a dedicated learning zone which brings together the resources and lecturers to ensure that learners have the best possible experience.

Applicants will be expected to deliver on a range of courses including GCSEs, Functional Skills, Adult Awards and Level 3 Progression.

Wigan & Leigh College believe that maths and English are key areas of study which support students on their progression through College and on to HE or employment.

Our aim is to assist students to become independent learners who can meet standards of maths and English and are able to utilise these in the world of work.

Post Title:Finance Apprentice
Faculty:Finance
Hours:37 Hours Per Week – 12 month fixed term contract
Salary:Up to £10,462 for an apprentice depending on level of qualification/age
Details:About this role:
Applications are sought for the position of Finance Apprentice within the Finance Team. The successful applicant will work with the team to support the College’s overall Finance Objectives, specifically undertaking general office duties and supporting the sales and purchase ledger activities. Whilst working with the team, provision will be made to support the completion of an apprenticeship through the AAT qualification.

Skills required:
Applicants should have literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to level 2/3, with an ability to demonstrate a methodical approach to work, to accurately process data and verbal and written skills appropriate for the role.

Post Title:Deputy Divisional Manager Engineering

Our Engineering provision enjoys a range of state of the art Engineering equipment and resources at our Pagefield site. Our courses are delivered across 16-18, 19 + and HE levels as well as the growing area of apprenticeships and full cost recovery provision.

The team are looking for a motivated and committed leader to support the Divisional Manager to achieve the aims of the provision in continuing to achieve excellent success rates and develop innovative curriculum offer to continue to meet employer need whilst increasing student numbers.

Applicants for this exciting role will be graduates and should be able to demonstrate excellent outcomes for learners, inspirational teaching & learning, relevant CPD, a high level of up to date professional knowledge and ability to motivate/coach/mentor others.

Wigan & Leigh College’s philosophy is outstanding teaching and high achievement to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work. This role will play a key part in this aim working with students, employers and apprentices to move the provision forward.
