Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lecturers Required to deliver HNC/HND classes
Wigan & Leigh College currently has hours available for qualified and experienced candidates who are interested in delivering Electrical and Electronic Engineering at HNC/HND Level to a range of students across the College provision. Various modules are available for delivery.

Wigan & Leigh College are looking for qualified AAT lecturers able to teach on the following provision:

  • AAT  level 2 Basic Accounts  1 & 2
  • AAT level 3 Accounts Preparation 1&2

Post Title:Teaching, Learning & Assessment Coach x 4 Fixed Term Contracts
Hours:18.5 hours per week. Including up to 2 evenings per week pro rata. Upto 225 teaching hours per annum
Salary:Annual Salary 16,876.50 - 17,901

0.5 FTE Teaching, Learning & Assessment Coach x 4 posts Fixed Term Contracts

Actual annual salary 16,876.50 with incremental progression to 17,901 Management Spine pts 35-37

We are looking to recruit internal candidates to perform as Teaching, Learning and Assessment Coaches to work with specific individuals and targeted groups across the College to develop and sustain good practice in teaching, learning and assessment. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of good and outstanding teaching, learning and assessment who are able to organise and contribute to the dissemination of good practice across the College and to play a key part in our improvement journey.

Successful candidates will liaise with colleagues to the aim of assisting development by:

Graded, developmental and walk through lesson observations

Support for planning and management of assessment

Best practice lesson planning, delivery and evaluation guidance and advice.

Embedding English and Mathematics.

Support staff with the effective use of ILP.

Develop individual staff in self-evaluation and peer observation skills.

The successful candidate will be appointed on a 0.5 FTE fixed term contract upto July 2015 to work with the Quality Team. If you are currently a 0.5 FTE or above lecturer, we would make arrangements with you to work 0.5 FTE in this post and the remainder in your substantive post. You would revert to your substantive post on completion of this fixed term arrangement or earlier if determined by the college.

Please note that it is a requirement of the teaching, learning and assessment role to consistently achieve a Grade 1 or 2 for graded lesson observations and any contract issued will confirm that if this is not consistently maintained the fixed term arrangement would cease and you will return to your substantive post within College.
