Learning Support Assistant
This is a brilliant opportunity to join our expanding community of talented, committed and inspirational colleagues.
Full time
Term Time ( 36 Weeks)
This is a brilliant opportunity to join our expanding community of talented, committed and inspirational colleagues.
Working in a dynamic, values led organisation, this role is for those who are passionate about development and innovation, within a lively college community.
We offer a range of benefits, including health and wellbeing support, flexible working, discounts on travel, parking and gym memberships through our exciting Benefits Platform, Green Car Scheme, Medicash, personal development opportunities and attractive pension schemes.
We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic individual to join our Additional Learning Support Team. In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored learning support to students with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, helping them to thrive and succeed.
You will offer individualised, sensitive support both in and outside of the classroom, adapting your approach to meet each learner’s unique needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build trusting, professional relationships with students and colleagues.
While direct experience is beneficial, it is not essential. If you bring strong transferable skills, empathy, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting others, we encourage you to apply. Experience in education, youth work, social care, or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable, but what matters most is your passion for creating inclusive learning environments and your willingness to learn and develop.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf
