About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Technician to join our Construction department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with industry experience to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within a busy Further Education environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide technical support across our Plumbing and wider Construction workshops.
· Assist lecturers in preparing materials, resources, and equipment for practical sessions.
· Demonstrate safe and effective use of machinery and tools when required.
· Maintain, organise, and oversee tools, equipment, and workshop spaces to ensure high standards of safety and efficiency.
· Take a lead responsibility for Health & Safety within the Construction workshops, including routine checks, risk assessments, and compliance with college policies.
· Support student learning through supervision, guidance, and the promotion of safe working practices.
About you
· A qualified Plumber to at least Level 2, with demonstrable industry experience.
· Confident in the use and maintenance of machinery and hand tools.
· Organised, proactive, and able to manage equipment and workshop resources independently.
· Knowledgeable about Health & Safety requirements within a construction workshop setting.
· Supportive, approachable, and committed to assisting learners in developing practical skills.
