About Us:
Our Early Years department is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of educators through high-quality training and qualifications, including NCFE/CACHE qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3, T Levels in Early Years, and Assistant Teaching. We also offer Higher Education delivery up to BA level. Our mission is to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the Early Years sector, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a Lecturer in Early Years, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering innovative and impactful lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. You will help students bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers in Early Years education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across our Early Years qualifications, utilising varied teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Assessment & Observation: Assess and observe students during their placements, providing valuable feedback and support to foster their professional growth.
- Student Support: Mentor and guide students, helping them to navigate their learning journey and develop essential skills for the workplace.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across two campuses to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to course evaluations, and engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in the relevant industry, particularly in Early Years education.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and assessment.
- Possession of, or willingness to work towards, a teaching qualification.
- Assessing qualifications, including an IQA Level 4, are desirable.
