The Senior Catering Technician will Supervise the team of catering assistants and them assist in the day to day running of the kitchens, Bakery and restaurant,  The Senior Catering Technician will also support the tutors and student groups to provide a supportive and engaging experience for the students. 

Duties will include:

• Supervising the Preparation and serving hospitality refreshments at college meetings and events

• Ensuring that our Kitchens, bakery and Restaurant have sufficient provisions for the weeks business and Classes

• Ensuring the Standards of cleaning in kitchens and front of house areas are up to standard for Learners and customers

•Supporting other catering operations in a college

•Ensuring that up kitchens for classes with all Resources

•Supervising the opening and Closing down Kitchens after classes is completed to the Expected standards

•Ensuring the Correct Procedures are followed when Recording of temperatures and safe storage of foods

•Ensuring the Team are  Maintaining High food hygiene standards

Responsible for Placing Food and Consumables following the College budgets

Costing Food Menus to ensure Profitability

Placing Orders with Suppliers ensuring best Quality and value for Money  is achieved

Monthly health and safety audits and stock takes
