We are looking to recruit an innovative, creative and well-organised lecturer B to join our vibrant enthusiastic and highly productive team. The college is an exciting place to work, as the Business provision expands this post will play a central role for those who have the drive and organisational skills to support the move of the department to outstanding. It is a vital role in the development of the department and the quality of services we provide. We are committed to ensuring that students reach their full potential and successful candidates will provide curriculum leadership to ensure the following requirements are met to very high standards and can be evidenced in personal best practice: Lecturer Bs in the department can deliver across our whole range of provision, from Level 1 to Level 7 including T levels, and Higher Education to BSc (Hons), depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Applicants for this post require teaching experience; have a Degree level qualification in related subject along with a relevant Further Education teaching qualification. We expect applicants to be ambitious in their expectations for learners and share our commitment to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.

The College has recently invested in state of the art facilities that allow students to develop their skills in an environment that exceeds many industry settings, with high specification computer classrooms and collaborative spaces, with access to the most up to date digital equipment and resources. This has allowed teaching, learning and assessment to replicate the situations found in a range of business-related roles across a variety of sector.
What will the role involve?
Main aspects are:
- Support HOD/DHOD to drive forward and continually improve attendance, achievement and success in learners
- Supporting students to achieve their fullest academic potential
- Undertake course co-ordination as required
- Support teachers across all sites to deliver a high standard of lessons
- Excellent personal teaching credentials
- Demonstrate an impact through supporting the maths and English team
- Resilience, confidence and competence to challenge and support others
- Deliver training and lead meetings when required
- To actively respond to strengths or areas for development from students’ assessment results and to use this information to incorporate strategies to improve student performance and success rates whilst enhancing the learning experience
- Lead on the quality of assessment through an internal verification approach.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.
